It all started long ago, when I was just a little girl. My mother was a wonderful seamstress and had worked for a tailor before she was married and continued to sew for us for many years. I remember watching her cut the fabric that would be turned into dresses for my sister and I. One day I asked for some cotton scraps and a needle and thread and went off to my bedroom to work on my first hand sewn creation...a little shirt for my baby doll complete with a blue button and rick rack trim...I was just four at the time. Sewing was my destiny.
As I grew older, I moved onto Barbie, who was my muse for many years. Of course, there were a succession of bridal ensembles made, each one a little more elaborate than the one before.
I've come a long way from my humble beginnings and today am working with much more exciting materials and fabric, and absolutely gorgeous laces and trims. With each wedding veil I still get a thrill when it's finished and take a few moments to simply admire the lace or watch the crystals shimmer and shine. I am truly blessed to be able to do what I love and to make people happy while doing it.
